the disappearance of... frogs
Some of the reasons of frogs being deformed is because of pesticides, because when it rains the pesticides wash off of crops and go into the ground. When the frogs are underground the pesticides reach the frogs and they drink them with the water. After that, the water combined with pesticides goes into the river and that affects all animals. Those animals are not just frogs but owls, fish, birds that drink from the river, etc. So please do wildlife a favor by using less pesticides!

And what’s even more ridiculous is the price: $99 It takes 20 minutes for your stomach to tell your brain that you’re full so the fork may help people stop eating when they're full and don’t know it. 4 Year old boy found with chinese bird flu
Recently, as Chinese government officials were searching local poultry farmers for the recent bird flu, they found a four year old boy carrier of H7N9 bird flu, but exhibited no symptoms. This is seriously worrying many people in China because this would make it extremely difficult to control and inhibit the disease. Also, an update has come up about the number of people found with the bird flu. The total has risen to 83.

LEONHARD EULER
Leonhard Euler, the influential Swiss mathematician was born 306 years ago today on 4/15/13. He was arguably the most important mathematician of the 18th century, and one of the greatest mathematicians of all time. He is known for his work in mechanics, fluid dynamics, optics, astronomy, calculus, and physics. Euler was born in Basel on the 15th of April, 1707, and died in Russia on the year of 1783, aged 76 years of age.

You know about Facebook, right? You might use it to celebrate someone's birthday, or talk about a homework assignment with your friends. But if you use Google's android mobile devices or Apple's iPhone or iPad, then you probably might notice some bugs. In 2010, Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook, noticed that a lot of people were using mobile devices, sometimes even more than computers. So he decided to make a Facebook app that was compatible with ALL devices, not a lot of separate apps for each mobile devices. However, the app wasn't working very well. It was laggy and crashed often. In the first couple months of a recent update in 2011, the Facebook app in the Apple App Store got 19,000 one star reviews. But recently, Mark Zuckerberg has unveiled a new take on mobile devices - Facebook Home. This could case the stock to increase in price, however, people are still uncertain whether Facebook can still make money off of mostly advertisements.

The cheetah is the fastest animal on earth, but it is not unstoppable. In Africa and Asia the cheetah runs free but that might not last. Just over 100 years ago, there were 100,000 cheetahs in the world. But now cheetahs are being shot just for fun or being captured and sold as pets. Numbers have dropped so low that they are nearing extinction, but it’s still possible to save the wild cat. Everyone must work very hard to save the speediest land animal on earth.

bird flu death toll in china rises to 8
The bird flu has claimed another life in Shanghai, China, during April 9th. This brings the total amount of infected people in the country to 24, along with 8 deaths so far. The flu crisis also has no signs of easing down anytime soon. The virus has mainly been found in pigeons, and was not previously found in humans until just last week. In Shanghai, where there have been 11 cases and 5 deaths resulting from the bird flu, 100,000 live birds have been killed in an effort to contain the problem. Other cities have announced trading suspensions as well.
When will the bird flu be contained? Oh, and don't forget to remain cautious around your chicken!

New Smart Watches are coming soon but the smart watch is not new. It actually has a history of failure. Is get a Smart Watch worth your money? Are these companies setting themselves up for failure? Some say no. When the iPad came out in 2010 there were already tablets. Apple took the tablet and made it huge. Will they do the same with the smart watch? A company called Pebble already has a Smart Watch that connects to your iPhone or Android with Bluetooth and shows incoming messages. It also lets you control your phone’s music. Some call it the wrist computer. The top five things people want on their smart watches are e-mail and texting, phone calls, GPS, Wi-Fi, and weather updates; things that are already on your phone. But is the smart watch actually worth getting?

Dangerous Bird flu spreads in China
Recently, the highly contagious bird flu (H7N9) has been scaring many authorities in China. So far, the Ministry of Agriculture has so far killed approximately 20,000 birds that could be carrying the avian bird flu. The Chinese are prepared to temporarily halt the live bird market. One of the reasons that it is such a scare to China, is because the H7N9 avian flu virus has not been found in humans recently.
